Zareen Zaidi, MD was recently awarded a PhD degree in Medical Education from Maastricht University, Netherlands. Maastricht University belongs to the top PhD programs worldwide in medical education, and has highly experienced educational investigators to provide supervision for doctoral research work. Zareen’s dissertation consists of four independent but inter-related research studies published in medical education journals. One of the studies will be published in Academic Medicine this November and has been selected for the Research in Medical Education (RIME) Research and Review Paper award. She worked on methods to identify and decrease cultural hegemony in medical education.
